OAK BUILDINGS |
Design |
Our brief
was to design an ideal place for relaxing, eating and entertaining,
in a rarely used part of the garden, but where superb views could potentially
be enjoyed both across open countryside and also back towards the main
residence. To take full advantage of the views, the area neeeded to
be raised by two feet, which was achieved through clever landscaping.
The buildings have been designed and built as 'pictureque ruins', one
being completely open (a sort of large pergola - having 'lost' its'
covering material) and the other semi closed, useful during more inclement
weather. |
